How wonderful would be it to have gravy again? Ask no more! Try this country-style gravy with your next Southern-inspired meal. Mashed potatoes, turkey, biscuits and more are all enhanced with this creamy and spicy gravy.

Ingredients
- 1 whole garlic clove (minced)
- 1–1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 cup broth (bone, chicken or vegetable broth works)
- 1 tbsp vegan butter
- 1–1/2 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- 1–1/4 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup gluten free flour
Instructions
- Add about 1 tsp of avocado oil to a small pot. Add minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds to a minute.
- Add in all ingredients but GF flour. Cook for 2 minutes on medium.
- Make sure you have a whisk handy as you start to add the flour little by little. Quickly whisk as you add the flour. This ensures that the flour doesn’t clump up in the gravy mix.
- Once you’ve added all the flour, keep whisking until gravy thickens. You’ll want the gravy to boil as well in order to get maximum flavor.
- Taste the mix periodically. Add in whatever spices you think are missing. Mix it up too! Feel free to create your own version.
